Email and Online Booking Updates

July 9, 2017 • Same Email For Multiple Customers You can now assign the same email to multiple customers. For instance, if John Smith is both a residential customer and a business in your database, and uses the same email address for both accounts, you can now be sure that all email notifications will reach him.  Multiple Email Addresses for a Customer If your customers want notifications to go out to multiple email addresses, you now have the option to add these emails to your customer profile. Simply access the customer profile and click the blue '+EMAIL' button and type the emails in. That customer will now receive all notifications to each of those email addresses.  Online Booking: Bing, Yahoo, Yellow Pages & City Search We want to make it even easier for your customers to find your business and book a job with you so we’ve partnered to bring online booking to Bing, Yahoo, Yellow Pages, and Citysearch. If you log onto your Housecall Pro account you’ll see a box at the bottom of the online booking page titled “BETA – Search Engine Booking.” If you click the “Enable” switch, your customers will be able to book a job online with you when they search your business name on any of these engines. We are just getting everything set up, and it will take a few weeks to show up in search results once you’ve turned it on… so please enable its as soon as possible if you have an interest.

Job Tagging, Managing and Reporting

April 2, 2017 • Job tagging has arrived! You can now enter tags for a job directly from the job details page or from the 'tags' section. Any new tag you enter in the box will be added to your master tag list in your settings menu. With this feature, you will now have the ability to add tags to your jobs AND/OR to your customers based on your business needs.  Tag Manager You can easily access the 'Tags' section from your main settings ribbon. In this section, you add, remove, rename, and merge any tags. To add a tag from this screen, click 'Add Tag' and simply enter the new tag name. To merge tags, first select all associated tags, then click on the 'Merge tags' button. From there, you will be able to apply a new name to all selected tags.  To rename an existing tag, click the 'Edit' button to the right of the tag and enter in the new tag name. Job Tag Reporting Job tags will make it easier than ever to create custom reports on your dashboard. The 'Job tags' option is now available inside the 'Table columns' drop down, and will allow you to filter jobs based on whatever tag you choose. Once you select which job tags you want to filter, simply name the report and click 'Save.' That custom report will show up on your dashboard. Please note that custom reporting is only available on the Manage Plan. If you would like to enjoy this feature, please let us know so we can upgrade your account.

Job Time Tracking, Zillow & Contacts

March 19, 2017 • Job Time Tracking is a feature that keeps track of travel time, on job duration, and total time duration of any given job. The time duration will show up in the left-side job process panel (shown above) and will also be accessible through the reporting table columns so you can isolate durations for custom dashboard reports. Custom dashboard is only available on the 'Manage' plan.  Zillow Zestimates The new Zestimate feature will allow you to see customer home estimated price, bedroom and bathroom count, and square footage. You will also be able to see when the house was built for industry context. The Zestimate feature automatically displays on the customer screen, job/estimate screen, and Google Street View. This feature is available on both iPhone and Android devices.  Company Point of Contact You can now designate a company point of contact for your business. The point of contact switch will route all incoming customer text messages to that staff member. This makes it so you can have a designated responding party for any customer messages. The switch can be found in the employee profile screen under the 'Permissions' section. You can only have one point of contact per company and the feature is only available if you have activated the 'Custom SMS Number' feature and have a phone number selected. The 'Custom SMS Number' feature is only available for 'Grow' and 'Manage' plans.

Tipping and iPhone Updates

October 30, 2016 • Our tipping feature is now live on both Android and iPhone. To enable the feature, you must first navigate to the 'Company' tab in your web portal settings. Once there, locate the 'Tipping' section and flip the switch on. This will allow your company to receive tips with credit card payments. Once the tipping setting has been enabled, your customer will be able to add a tip during their payment process. The tipping feature will come up through credit card payments, and your customer will be able to select from 10%, 15%, 20%, no tip, and custom tip choices. Once the customer selects the tip amount, they simply sign and select 'Done Signing' to complete the transaction. To make sure the tipping feature is ready, please update your HouseCall Pro app and refresh the application.  What's New on iPhone Dashboard and Create Invoice The new dashboard feature will allow you to see your collected and uncollected invoices, job activity graph along with scheduled job count/amount, and created/won estimates at a glance. From the dashboard screen, you can click on each respective section to access details for invoices, jobs, and estimates.  We have also made it so that you can create invoices directly without having a previously scheduled job. To create an invoice on-the-fly, click the 'invoices' section on the dashboard and then the '+' sign at the top right. You will then be able send the invoice directly.
